We also offer onboarding, payroll, and HR direct support services.
We’re looking for a Community Canvass Manager to join our team to support and move forward crucial community projects through 2024 and beyond.
Position Requirements
- Familiarity with Google Suite or open to training
- Ability to walk 1+ miles in a 4 hours shift
- Must have a working laptop that can connect to a wifi system;
- Must have a Smart Phone with reliable Cell phone service required
- Ability and familiarity with downloading and using smartphone applications such as mapping, time clocks, data capture, and communications
- You must be ready to go on day one, have tireless energy, and be able and willing to anticipate and solve problems.
- Willing to work long hours as needed
- Willingness and ability to work safely in outdoor weather- heat, rain, cold
- At times as needed "working outside of your lane"
- Thrive in a dynamic culture with a willingness to pivot strategies as needed
- Manage 30 or more person canvass team;
- Participate in training to learn deep canvassing models and scripts;
- Canvass with targeted voters in the late afternoon or early evening; and on weekends
- Ensure that conversations are tracked in VAN [voter database];
- Ensure that timesheets are corrected and submitted by team members daily;
- Debrief conversations daily with the Statewide Campaign Field Manager and Canvass Team
- Verifying and approving hours for compliance and accuracy;
- Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done and meet or exceed your targets while demonstrating a high degree of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work in a highly structured team environment
- Ability to work well with diverse members of the community and in diverse communities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and openness to feedback for improvement
- Ability to make changes and improvements in work practices based on collected metrics of previous work
- Ability to work entire shift without set breaks
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance throughout entire employment
- Must have basic mapping skills to get out to the assigned community in an efficient manner- mapping programs on phones are recommended
- Experience in writing narratives or willingness to learn how to do it.
- Be willing to transport, as needed, canvassers to the field
- Spanish speaking a plus

Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of door-to-door canvassers.
- Build a winning canvassing model that can grow regionally.
- Train and develop canvassers as a career path for promotion and career success.
- Hire, train, motivate, coach, and hold the team accountable to exceed goals.
- Perform targeted door-to-door canvassing in assigned, pre-selected communities and voters.
- Educate community members about the voting process and the endorsed candidates.
- Distribute educational and candidate support materials door-to-door in pre-selected communities and voters.
- Participate in training and staff meetings, as assigned.
- Must be knowledgeable in Mini Van, and moderate in Google, and GSuite.
- Create, update, and follow a daily agenda.
- Keep a daily narrative about field findings.
- Document any challenges or obstacles encountered in the field, and be prepared to offer solutions and workarounds to overcome them.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Must not work for other candidates during employment.
- Must notify TTB of any "moonlighting" regardless of industry.
- Hours throughout the program will vary from week to week.
